Your key responsibilities as the Senior R&D Tax Manager
As a key leader in the team, you will oversee the delivery of R&D tax services, ensuring clients receive first-class support. You’ll guide and mentor junior colleagues, fostering their technical growth and career progression. Developing and maintaining strong client relationships will be central to your role, enabling you to provide expert advice, manage expectations, and identify new opportunities for collaboration. Within the firm, you’ll work cross-functionally to enhance processes and encourage innovation. Externally, you will drive business development efforts, nurturing existing partnerships while expanding the firm’s client base. You’ll also serve as the primary client contact, ensuring seamless communication and outstanding service delivery.

Requirements
To excel in this role, you must hold a degree in Engineering or Science, providing a strong technical foundation. You’ll need exceptional communication and negotiation skills, paired with a collaborative leadership style. Previous R&D tax experience and the ability to manage client relationships effectively are essential. A keen interest in emerging technologies across multiple sectors, combined with technical expertise and a commitment to continuous learning, will be highly valued. Proficiency in Excel, particularly in handling large and complex datasets, is required. Confidence in engaging with senior technical and finance professionals in one-on-one meetings is also crucial.
