Your key responsibilities
As VAT Manager, you will be required to maintain and provide tax codes to internal stakeholders, ensuring proper SAP settings and guidelines. You will validate IT settings for new project flows related to VAT to ensure compliance and support the VAT and Customs Director with professional tax and legal advice on EMEA VAT matters. Leading internal and external VAT audits, you will also drive efficiency, quality improvements, and automation projects. Additionally, you will provide guidance to stakeholders to ensure robust tax compliance and support strategic initiatives while assisting the VAT and Customs Director with other projects as needed.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should be able to demonstrate the following:
● 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, including accounting/audit expertise; a recognised accounting degree or qualification is a plus.
● Comprehensive knowledge of VAT EMEA legislation.
● Strong VAT background with experience in ERP systems (e.g., SAP), technology, data, and processes.
● Excellent organisational skills and ability to work independently.
● Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects, solve problems quickly, and think on your feet.
● Adaptability to work under pressure in dynamic environments.

As an individual, you should be able to demonstrate strong organisational, project management, analytical, and communication skills (both verbal and written). A continued desire to develop both yourself and your colleagues is also essential.
