About the Role

As Corporate Tax Manager you will:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of corporate tax compliance for your portfolio.
• Prepare complex corporate tax computations and returns, and review those prepared by other members of the Tax and Business Services teams.
• Prepare tax accounting disclosures.
• Advise clients on corporate tax payments, including quarterly instalment payments.
• Assist with ad-hoc advisory work that naturally flows from your compliance responsibilities, including group tax planning, capital allowances, R&D tax relief, and tax due diligence for acquisitions and disposals.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships across your portfolio of clients.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and training to junior staff members.
• Take ownership of WIP management for your client portfolio.
• Conduct thorough research and stay updated on tax law changes, proactively communicating with clients about relevant tax opportunities and working with the wider team to deliver on such work.
• Handle general ad-hoc queries for the practice.

Role Requirements

• Possess ACA, ACCA, CTA, or an equivalent qualification
• Tax manager or assistant manager with significant corporate tax compliance experience
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in tax software and financial reporting systems
• Ability to mentor and develop junior team members
• High attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
• Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with industry changes and best practices
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
