VAT Manager (Financial Services) - Central London

An industry leading financial services group based in London is seeking a VAT Manager to join their tax team. This newly created position will report directly into the Head of Tax and will expose you to a variety of projects and complex transactions. This role offers lots of flexibility with working from home 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

- Take control of the global VAT function and be the subject matter expert across the group
- Take the lead with implementing new systems and streamlining of processes
- Manage the outsourced, international VAT compliance function working closely with external advisers
- Utilise up-to-date knowledge of current and future legislation to advise on group wide VAT queries.
- Support the Head of International Tax on various projects.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant or hold a related tax qualification, with relevant VAT experience gained both from practice, and in-house. Experience gained within a financial services environment is important.

They will be commercial and confident, willing to liaise with various departments and personnel. Prior experience within financial services would be beneficial.
