As the International Tax Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the corporate tax compliance process across the region through relationships with external advisers and local business teams primarily in US, Canada & Brazil. The role sits within the Group tax team near Chester in Cheshire and reports directly to the Group's Head of Tax & Treasury, with support from the in-house Tax Assistant.
A significant proportion of the group's operations are US based and therefore US tax technical knowledge is required. In addition, an understanding of the tax treatment of foreign operations for US tax purposes would be highly desirable.
The Group is acquisitive, and so work will be hugely varied including M&A activity, managing the due diligence process and advising on structuring as appropriate. The Group is also investing heavily in organic growth in the region, and you will be involved in maximising the tax efficiency of such expansion projects.
Ideally you will be -
A qualified Chartered Accounting (ACA), Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years post qualified experience, with strong tax skills and significant exposure to International Tax, and in particular, US tax. As well as experience of US GAAP tax accounting for group reporting
