The IBFD Knowledge Centre is home to most of the tax specialists within IBFD. It is a publications and research department with staff engaged in updating and reviewing IBFD’s publications, conducting research in international tax, and lecturing on various tax topics. The Knowledge Centre is comprised of several Knowledge Groups focused either on particular geographic regions or on specialist international tax topics. The research staff of the Knowledge Centre is drawn from all over the world, mainly having expertise in the tax systems of various countries, as well as specialisation in key areas of taxation.

Associate/Editor Europe
The European Knowledge Group is part of the IBFD’s Knowledge Centre, and home to the IBFD's best-known publications on Europe, such as the European Tax Surveys; the European Taxation journal; and the ECJ Direct Taxes Case Law database. The European Knowledge Group is also responsible for several publications and products concerning corporate transactions, as relate to Europe. These include the following subject areas: Permanent Establishments, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Holding companies.
The successful applicant will be engaged as an Associate and Editor for a number of European countries. In this capacity, she/he will have technical and editorial responsibility for the assigned country portfolio.
Responsibilities and activities
Monitoring and reporting on tax and investment developments in countries of responsibility
Editing and technical review of the content of IBFD publications, research reports, and any other tax technical material
Writing notes, articles, surveys, updates, and other analytical material
Providing support to other departments of IBFD, e.g. the International Tax Training and the Government Consultancy Department
Maintaining and expanding the correspondents network in the region
Requirements
At least two years’ relevant professional experience with a tax/accounting firm, a governmental agency or an international organization dealing with domestic and international tax law
A university degree in law, accountancy, economics or related areas, or a postgraduate degree in taxation
Excellent knowledge of the tax law of one or more European countries
Skills
Excellent writing and editorial skills
A sharp eye for detail
Excellent communication skills
Native (or equivalent) command of the English language (knowledge of other European languages will be an advantage)
Salary & fringe benefits
We offer a full-time position with a salary, depending on background and relevant work experience, between EUR 3,500 and EUR 4,300 gross per month.
