Your new role

We're looking for someone ambitious and motivated to assist, help and support the partners in managing a portfolio of clients. You will be assisting the tax team, and the partners, in managing the filing deadlines for self-assessment, completing personal tax returns, completing workbooks, and supporting clients with any queries.

* Preparation of self-assessment personal tax returns and tax computations for a wide variety of clients
* Management of a small portfolio of clients
* Developing and maintaining excellent client relationships and becoming a regular contact point for clients
* Reducing the burden of taxation on business owners with good tax planning and advice* Actively looking to introduce new clients to the company and help promote and sell its services to prospective clients, financial institutions and the business community

What you'll need to succeed

The Personal Tax Senior will be aware of making tax digital and the effects on Sole Traders and Landlords, with knowledge of the requirements, software solutions and how to support the transition to this.

* ATT, ACCA/ACA part qualified/qualified, or QBE with experience of working in a similar role.* Strong knowledge of personal taxation with experience of working in a team within a Practice environment
* Strong communication skills and be comfortable communicating with clients orally or in written format
* Confident in front of clients and others more senior than you and not afraid to challenge where necessary.
* Relentless in problem-solving, providing solutions in a timely and thorough manner.
* Able to juggle a number of jobs, whilst demonstrating excellent time management skills to ensure all deadlines and expectations are met
