Indirect Tax Manager

Brewer Morris are partnered with a global software company in the entertainment sector to recruit for a new Indirect Tax Manager. This role focuses on key areas of indirect tax compliance and advisory work. The role is well suited to an individual with a compliance background looking to expand their advisory and project experience. You will have a focus on multiple jurisdictions including the UK and international.

Key Responsibilities

* Overseeing VAT return preparation and submission for multiple jurisdictions, with advisor support as needed.
* Reviewing VAT payment calculations and ensuring accuracy.
* Managing UK and Malta partial exemption methods, annual adjustments, and capital goods scheme processes.
* Identifying opportunities for VAT savings and process improvements.
* Reconciling VAT balance sheet accounts.
* Maintaining the indirect tax compliance schedule, ensuring all deadlines are met.
* Supporting the finance team with indirect tax reporting and monthly tax provisions.
* Assisting with tax authority audits by providing required documentation.
* Monitoring tax law changes and ensuring necessary adjustments are made.
* Collaborating with external tax advisors and auditors.
* Documenting tax policies and submission procedures.
* Enhancing data collection and automation to streamline compliance.
* Conducting assurance reviews across jurisdictions to ensure compliance.
* Assisting the Head of Indirect Tax and wider tax team with ad-hoc projects.
* Providing tax guidance on business transactions and mitigating VAT risks.
* Delivering training on tax matters as needed.

Requirements:

* Indirect tax experience from in-house or practice with secondment experience
* Extensive indirect tax compliance experience, with some advisory exposure
* Experience within a complex and fast paced organisation and the ability to understand complex transactions
