Role Overview: Funds Tax Lawyer (Senior Associate/Counsel)
The UK tax team is a market leader in corporate, finance, real estate, indirect, and tax litigation services. As a Funds Tax Lawyer, you'll play a pivotal role in advising the world's largest and most complex businesses on a range of innovative and high-profile funds-related matters.
You'll work alongside a highly skilled team of 150 specialist tax advisers worldwide, including a substantial London team. Collaborating closely with the corporate and funds teams globally, you'll be central to delivering cutting-edge tax solutions in private funds, tax structuring, secondaries, LP portfolio transactions, GP M&A, and more.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert tax advice across diverse funds-related transactions in collaboration with colleagues in Europe, the US, and APAC.
* Handle complex, high-value international matters that frequently make headlines.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships while developing new opportunities.
* Work as part of a "one team" approach, collaborating seamlessly across geographies and disciplines.
* Support and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and development.
Your Profile
* Experience: Extensive funds tax experience from a leading City firm or an international practice in a common law jurisdiction.
* Skills: Outstanding academic credentials, excellent transactional and management skills, and a reputation for providing commercial, solutions-focused advice.
* Attributes: Strong communication, analytical, and client relationship skills; commercial awareness; and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
* Global Perspective: Proven success in working with multi-jurisdictional and multi-disciplinary teams.
