Corporate Tax Assistant Manager or Manager (Multiple offices)
This forward thinking accountancy practice are looking for individuals with corporate and business tax experience, whether gained within a specialist team or through a more general practice background, such as accounts production or audit, with some exposure to corporate/business tax work.
This opportunity is ideal for those looking to build on their existing knowledge and develop a specialism. Support will be provided for candidates transitioning from a general practice role, where applicable.
The successful candidates can be based at any of the firm's locations, though some travel between offices and client sites in the region will be required. There is also flexibility to combine this role with homeworking under an agile working policy.
Client Portfolio
The client base spans a diverse range of corporate and business clients, varying in both sector and size. Clients range from small businesses to groups with turnovers in the hundreds of millions, including owner-managed businesses (OMBs), subsidiaries of international groups, charities, and LLPs.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will work closely with senior managers and partners, supporting them in both tax compliance and advisory matters. This includes drafting tax computations, letters, and reports for review, preparing key client reporting documents, and adhering to cost budgets. In addition, they will contribute to a variety of tax compliance and advisory projects, gaining valuable experience under appropriate supervision.
Skills and Experience
* Recent experience in a professional services environment, with a working knowledge of corporate and business tax, is essential.
* ICAEW, ACCA, or ATT qualification, or an equivalent level of experience, is required. A CTA qualification is advantageous, though study support for CTA qualification will be provided if necessary.
* A strong interest in tax planning, technical aspects of compliance, and advisory work is essential, with a desire to develop skills in these areas.
