Tax Reporting role for 4 weeks - immediate start

Tax Director needs someone urgently for one month's work in September

Responsibility for preparation of 2023 tax provision workbooks (“TPWs”) (manual excel documents) for all entities in the Group re Year Ending 31 December 2023.

Responsibility for the preparation of 2023 Consolidated Tax Note at Top Co level, taking into account any Consolidation Adjustments at TopCo level.

There are circa 60 active entities in the Group across all regions.

Checking the brought forward balances from 2022 are correctly included in 2023 opening balances.

Analysing all tax accounts on ERP system (NAV) and instructing any pre-closure correcting journal entries, to correct any mispostings.

Obtaining all 2023 Financial Results per entity and directly preparing each 2023 TPW for current year CIT, WHT & Deferred Tax.

Reviewing all 2022 TPW’s, NAV P&L and BS tax accounts, all 2022 filed tax computations per entity and preparing all prior year adjustments required.

Reviewing ETR per entity and preparing summary reconciliation.

Preparing a board pack for approval of the Tax Director, analysing cash tax, ETR by entity / region, top 5 contributors to tax charge, summary of key tax metrics such as losses, unrecognised DT Assets.

All necessary discussions, emails or teams meetings with the respective regional controllers, plus HR finance teams and Tax Director to clarify / obtain any information to complete this exercise.

Acting as point of contact with big 4 auditors to provide all necessary responses.

Instructing all relevant journal entries to be posted to NAV.

Reconciling the tax P&L and BS position per out TPWs to the tax GL’s in NAV.
