Group Tax Manager, FTSE 100, to £145k plus pension and bonus

If so I'm working with a FTSE 100 business that are looking to recruit a Group Tax Manager for their small in-house team.

Reporting to the Director of Group Finance, you will develop and implement tax strategies to minimise the group's tax liabilities, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations, and assess tax risks, putting in place appropriate controls and procedures.

You will act as a trusted advisor to senior management, identifying opportunities for tax optimisation and efficiency while fostering strong relationships with various business functions to ensure compliance across the group.

Collaborating with finance and operational teams on tax planning initiatives, you will oversee the accurate preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with all UK and International tax laws where relevant, including corporation tax, income tax and VAT. In this role, you will also manage tax audits and inquiries from HMRC, conduct research on complex tax issues, and stay updated on changes in tax legislation.

As a leader and mentor to the Assistant Tax Manager, you will foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.

What do I need to qualify for this Group Tax Manager role?

* ACA/AACA/CTA qualified with extensive experience in tax management, preferably within a complex organisation or professional services firm.
* In-depth knowledge of UK tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles, with experience managing tax affairs for multiple companies.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax issues and provide strategic recommendations
