Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Corporate Tax Partner to join their Manchester office. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of corporate tax regulations, exceptional client relationship skills, and a proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing tax team. This role offers a significant opportunity to shape the direction of the tax practice and contribute to the overall growth of the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
Provide strategic direction and leadership to the corporate tax practice.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous development.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and the firm’s policies.
Client Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored tax solutions.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, developing proposals and pitching to potential clients.
Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, managing expectations and delivering exceptional client service.
Tax Advisory and Compliance:
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of corporate tax advisory and compliance services.
Provide expert advice on a wide range of tax issues including corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, international tax, ect.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of tax filings and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
Business Development:
Actively participate in networking events, industry conferences, and other business development activities to enhance the firm’s market presence.
Collaborate with other partners and senior management to develop and implement strategies for growth and client acquisition.
Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, including writing articles, presenting at seminars, and engaging in public speaking opportunities.
Financial Performance:
Monitor the financial performance of the corporate tax practice, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
Implement measures to optimize efficiency and manage costs while maintaining high-quality service delivery.
Ensure timely billing and collection of fees.
Education:
A recognized professional accounting or tax qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CTA) is required.
An advanced degree in tax, accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Proven track record of managing and delivering complex tax advisory and compliance engagements.
Extensive experience in business development and client relationship management.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong technical knowledge of UK tax laws and regulations.
