Your new company
My client is a rapidly expanding technology business with a global footprint. Backed with heavy investment, the company will continue to expand geographically into new jurisdictions. This role is a newly created position reporting to the finance director. This grassroots role provides the opportunity to build out the tax operations of the finance division, become the tax lead for the group, manage compliance and advisory responsibilities, complete SAO obligations and recruit your own team and progress into a Head of Tax position.

Your new role
You will:

* Establish the tax strategy for the group, consistent with best practice.
* Ensure the efficient completion, on a timely and accurate basis, of all the Group's global tax compliance obligations across legal entities, including income and corporation tax computations and returns, tax balances in statutory accounts.
* Monitor, review and account for group-wide tax provisions, including deferred tax.
* Manage and keep the transfer pricing policy up to date to ensure timely recording of intercompany transfer pricing charges, and transfer pricing adjustments.
* Prepare communication on the impact of changes in tax legislation and tax accounting for the Board and identify opportunities which will optimise tax efficiencies.
* Support acquisitions and similar transactions from a tax perspective.
* Provision of ad hoc corporation tax advice to the business and to external advisors (e.g. lawyers) and ensuring that regular productive contact is maintained
* Encourage and influence the business to raise questions and act in a tax efficient manner, and in general promote tax awareness across the group, including identifying and informing the business of the implications and impact of changes to worldwide tax legislation
* Be involved with strategic tax planning, transfer pricing policies, employment tax issues and VAT
* Prepare the Group's UK corporate income tax filings
* For non-UK jurisdictions, management of all tax work outsourced to external advisors, including ensuring appropriate advice is obtained efficiently.
* Manage any R&D tax claim work, whether prepared internally or outsourced
* Maintain a good relationship with the various tax authorities

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified tax professional, either ACCA, ACA, ATT or CTA qualified or equivalent. You could be moving from an accounting from or already have gained industry experience. You will be able to demonstrate excellent stakeholder management, be able to build relationships and have excellent communication skills. You will have the ability to manage a variety of tax compliance duties and reporting, with excellent time management and organisational skills.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary dependent on experience up to £90,000, car allowance, annual bonus and a range of other benefits. Flexible working options are available along with hybrid working, 3 days in the office and 2 days at home. There is on-site parking, a gym and local eating options. Progression is guaranteed to a Head of Tax position, with future recruitment of at least two heads to manage as the business and its tax obligations grow.
