VAT Assistant Manager / Supervisor, London

A great opportunity to join an established VAT team in this professional services firm. Working with experienced senior consultants you will be able to develop your technical knowledge and be given early responsibility for a range of excellent clients dealing with a mix of compliance and advisory projects. Specifically this will include:

● Preparation of VAT summaries and the submission of VAT returns.
● Liaising with HM Revenue & Customs on behalf of clients.
● Supporting on advisory projects on a range of issues.
● Dealing with VAT registrations/deregistration’s and option to tax on behalf of clients.
● Delegation to, review and oversight of VAT compliance tasks performed by VAT Trainees within the VAT team, in conjunction with other experienced VAT team members.

To apply you will need to have gained a good grounding in VAT in either compliance or advisory. You will also need to have excellent grammar, good numerical skills and have an eye for detail. Proactivity and the ability to communicate in an articulate and professional way with colleagues and clients will be key. This could be a good opportunity for someone working in a VAT compliance role looking to expand their experience and take on advisory work, or a consultant in a larger firm seeking a broad technical breadth of work and their own client portfolio. The role in London based with an office presence needed at least three days a week. Full study support will be provided to complete the ATT and CTA qualifications, if required.
