Senior Corporate Tax Manager

Flexible on location with USA as long as you are prepared to travel within the US for key meetings.

Join a global corporate tax team (UK listed) as the US number 2 and be the key person to lead the advisory on direct tax matters primarily within the Region.

You will be responsible for providing tax input on major international projects of a very complex character; managing tax areas with a global scope and high importance to the organisation; and proactively driving tax compliance, projects and cases within a larger region. Through deep expert knowledge optimize the tax position of the company, and by directing tax advisory resources, you will ensure that entities comply with all relevant local and international tax laws and regulations. You will also initiate investigation into areas of opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support or lead regional projects in collaboration with other functions;
• Support with integration of newly acquired companies within the Region;
• Provide technical tax analysis of various of business and financial transactions within the region;
• Manage and communicate tax implications of various business changes; initiatives and investments as well as support with the implementation of the changes.
• Manage tax litigation within the Region;
• Responsible for highly technical and complex tax strategies with a commercial mindset.
• Support with M&A transactions.
• Support with various of restructuring projects
• Support or lead global initiatives on an ad hoc basis

Required Experience and Skills

• 7+ years of practical experience from a tax function in an international company or a law or audit firm
• Experienced in navigating in a complex and international company with several stakeholders and a rapidly changing environment with tight deadlines
• Experience with project management will be an advantage
• Extensive knowledge and experience in restructuring.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform critical analysis, prioritize and problem solve.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details but at the same time be able to take business decisions.
• Fluent in English.
