Tax Director - Transactions - Infrastructure

About our client:

Our client is a leading firm in the professional services industry, specialising in providing innovative tax solutions and advisory services to a diverse range of clients. As they continue to expand our service offerings, they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Director to join their Transactions team, focusing on large infrastructure clients.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Tax Director (or current Senior Manager / Associate Director) with experience in managing tax aspects of large infrastructure transactions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing high-level tax advice and driving the success of complex infrastructure projects. This role requires a deep understanding of the infrastructure sector, strong technical tax knowledge, and the ability to lead and mentor a team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage tax aspects of large infrastructure transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and project financing.
* Provide strategic tax advice to clients on complex infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations and laws.
* Develop and implement tax-efficient structures for infrastructure investments and transactions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and project management, to ensure seamless execution of transactions.
* Conduct thorough tax due diligence and risk assessments for potential infrastructure deals.
* Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and regulations affecting the infrastructure sector and advise clients accordingly.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and providing ongoing support for their tax needs.
* Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Qualifications and experience:

* Professional certification such as ACA or CTA
* Minimum of 10 years of relevant tax experience, with a significant focus on transactions within the infrastructure sector.
* Proven track record of managing and advising on large, complex infrastructure projects.
* Strong technical tax knowledge and expertise in tax planning, compliance, and advisory services.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Client-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
