An enthusiastic and driven tax accountant is required to join the Corporate Tax team within a leading firm, based in either Norwich or Ipswich with hybrid working.
You will be managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients and giving tax planning advice, drafting Self-Assessment tax returns, reviewing the returns prepared by colleagues and providing proactive tax planning advice to clients.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing a portfolio of Corporate Tax Self-Assessment tax returns
* Reviewing corporate tax returns and computations prepared by team members
* Supporting the tax managers / partners
* Assisting with tax advisory work
* Managing workload and client expectations
* Working within budgets set at the planning stage
* Overseeing staff in preparation of tax returns and computations, providing training where required and assisting with their development
* Ensuring the efficient use of appropriate software packages
* Maintain a good working relationship with clients
* Have an active role in business development, and promoting the firm in the local area
Education and qualifications
* ACA, ACCA, CTA (or equivalent).
* Significant experience within practice
* Experience of preparation of corporate tax returns
* Experience of preparing and reviewing technically complex advice
* Ability to work flexibly as part of a team
