Position Overview: As a replacement for an outgoing partner out client is seeking a Personal Tax Director, who will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing the personal tax practice. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in personal taxation, strong leadership skills, and the ability to provide strategic guidance to clients. The successful candidate will contribute to the growth and success of the bsuiness by managing and developing a high-performing team and delivering exceptional personal tax services.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

* Lead and mentor a team of personal tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
* Provide guidance on technical matters, tax legislation, and complex client issues.
* Conduct regular performance reviews and contribute to professional development plans for team members.

Client Advisory:

* Act as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth individuals, providing expert guidance on personal tax planning and compliance.
* Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
* Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations to provide timely and accurate advice to clients.

Strategic Planning:

* Contribute to the development of the personal tax strategy for Azets.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
* Identify opportunities for service enhancements and revenue growth within the personal tax practice.

Technical Expertise:

* Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in personal taxation.
* Provide technical support and guidance to the team on complex tax matters.
* Review and sign off on high-level personal tax returns and advisory work.

Client Acquisition and Business Development:

* Play a key role in business development activities, including client acquisition and retention.
* Identify opportunities for cross-selling additional services within the Azets portfolio.
* Represent Azets at industry events and contribute to marketing efforts.

Qualifications:

* Professional qualification in taxation (e.g., CTA, ACCA, or equivalent).
* Extensive experience in personal tax advisory at a senior level.
* Proven leadership and team management skills.
* Strong technical expertise in personal taxation and a track record of handling complex client issues.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
