This prestigious firm is seeking a talented Tax Manager to join their Management Team Advisory Group (MTAG) as part of their UK-wide Private Equity Portfolio (PE Portfolio) Tax team. The Deals Tax team collaborates closely with the Deals practice, offering expert advice on tax implications across a range of transactions, from Mergers & Acquisitions to Real Estate. As a Tax Manager within the PE Portfolio team, candidates will be part of one of the most successful groups, providing essential guidance to Private Equity-backed businesses. With a national reach and an international client base, this firm offers a diverse and stimulating work environment.

The Role: As a Tax Manager, candidates will lead a growing team, delivering tailored tax advisory services to PE portfolio company clients.

Responsibilities include:

* Providing bespoke tax advice on PE portfolio company transactions, including international tax considerations.
* Cultivating and nurturing relationships with clients and team members, fostering innovation and delivering commercial tax solutions.
* Collaborating with specialists across the tax network to provide comprehensive client support.
* Identifying and pursuing business development opportunities with both new and existing clients.
* Leveraging technical expertise to develop strategies for solving complex tax challenges.
* Taking charge of professional development, staying current on industry trends, and sharing insights to drive impactful solutions.

Essential Skills and Experience and to thrive in this role, candidates should possess:

* A professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant (ACCA, ICAEW, ICAS, CAI) or Chartered Tax Advisor (ATT, CTA), or equivalent.
* Strong UK corporate tax skills with an understanding of other tax areas (e.g., VAT, employment taxes).
* Experience in transaction work and/or Private Equity is advantageous but not essential.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and networks.
* Strong analytical, project management, and report writing abilities.
* A proactive approach to self-development and mentoring others within the team.
* The capability to apply tax technical knowledge in a commercial context.
