A leading professional services firm is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Capital Allowances Manager to join their national Innovation and Capital Incentives team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse team and assist clients in obtaining the incentives and allowances available to support their investment in innovation and capital assets.
Responsibilities:
* Providing support on real estate and infrastructure deals, including claim preparation and technical advice
* Managing a portfolio of Capital Allowance clients and overseeing project delivery.
* Preparing Capital Allowance claims for submission to relevant authorities.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
* Handling queries and liaising with relevant authorities on behalf of clients regarding Capital Allowance claims.
* Offering tax technical advice to clients and internal stakeholders.
* Supervising and guiding junior team members, and updating senior stakeholders on project progress.
* Identifying and developing new business opportunities, including contributing to proposal efforts.
* Collaborating effectively within a team-oriented environment.
Requirements:
* Extensive experience working in a tax environment, with specialised knowledge in Capital Allowances.
* In-depth understanding of tax incentives and a track record of preparing successful Capital Allowances claims.
* Strong project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and effectively manage workload.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with various stakeholders such as clients, colleagues, and regulatory authorities.
* Proven ability to coach and delegate tasks, supporting the growth of junior team members in both technical expertise and soft skills.
* Proficiency in written communication, including drafting reports, technical memos, and concise advice notes.
* Strong analytical skills for numerical analysis of client data.
