An international firm is seeking a Restructuring Tax Manager to join its expanding team. With a focus on providing tax support to distressed businesses and their lenders, the role requires expertise in tax compliance, due diligence, and advisory services for businesses located in the UK and globally.

The ideal candidate should possess transaction tax experience, a good understanding of corporation tax principles, and an awareness of the tax implications of financing and refinancing. While support will be provided by tax specialists in the wider team, the candidate should also have an awareness of the interactions of their work with other areas of tax.
As a Restructuring Tax Manager, the primary responsibilities include managing a portfolio of clients and/or projects, coordinating with and project managing global teams where necessary, drafting detailed transaction steps plans, and overseeing the compliance process for UK companies in formal insolvencies.

The candidate will be expected to identify technical issues arising from their work, provide ad-hoc advice on company reorganisations and restructuring activities, delegate to and manage junior members of the team, and assist the senior team with business development and thought leadership.

Qualifications for the position include ACA or CTA certification and corporate tax compliance and advisory experience. Personal qualities include outstanding quality of work, strong communication skills, flexibility in approach to clients/stakeholders and the form and nature of advice, and an outgoing personality with the ability to integrate into the team.
