A Financial Services Tax Assistant Manager position is available at an independent audit, tax and advisory firm that is part of a global network of firms with over 60,000 employees in more than 120 countries. The Financial Services Tax Assistant Manager role is based in London and the successful candidate will work with clients from all over the world, providing tax advice to businesses. The role requires a commercial approach based on deep industry understanding and technical expertise. The firm offers a full range of tax services to help financial services businesses optimise their tax position, manage tax risk and meet tax compliance obligations, from UK and international tax structuring considerations to operational tax issues. There are specialist tax teams in Banking, Asset Management, Insurance, Broking and Funds.

The Financial Services Tax Assistant Manager will have significant exposure to clients, working alongside large and complex financial institutions to manage their tax compliance obligations. They will provide UK and international tax advisory and compliance services and develop commercial understanding of different types of financial institutions and how they operate in different business, product and geographical areas. The successful candidate will manage their own diverse client portfolio, develop existing relationships both inside and outside of the firm and have access to the firm's training and development opportunities to broaden their technical and commercial skillsets.

The minimum criteria for this role is a professional qualification (CTA / ACA / ACCA or equivalent) and UK Tax experience. An interest in or experience working with financial services businesses, strong communication skills in supporting the team and delivering work to clients, a willingness and ability to work as part of a team, and experience of working within a tax compliance role with exposure to advisory work are desirable. Flexibility is also important to juggle client commitments and meet deadlines.
