Indirect Tax Manager (FTSE-100, 100% Remote)

A global FMCG Group is seeking a Senior VAT Manager to take the lead on all indirect tax matters. This is an all-encompassing position that will require a true business partner, someone highly proactive and up-to-date on all current and future VAT legislation.

You will lead a small team on VAT compliance and advisory, ensuring an all-encompassing service to group and timely submission of returns. This is an excellent opportunity for a VAT specialist with international experience to advance their career further in a highly respected group. Previous in-house experience is not a pre-requisite.

You would have the opportunity to get involved in market leading exposure to a variety of taxes and international jurisdictions, along with a clearly defined route for progression. This is a remote working opportunity with occasional travel to the London office.

Responsibilities:

- Lead on internal VAT advisory services, working closely with the Big 4 external advisors

- End-to-end management of the VAT process, identifying possible areas for improvement

- Manage a small team of VAT Accountants

- System development and improvement

- Answering group queries on VAT

Requirements:

- Proven experience of VAT compliance and accounting

- Up-to-date knowledge of current and future VAT legislation

- Experience with a systems implementation would be beneficial (but not required)

- An energetic and adaptable mindset is essential
