We're looking for a Customs Assistant Officer, who will work in close partnership with UK Border Force to tackle customs fraud and protect the UK economy.
What will you be doing?
Your job will be to protect legitimate trade, by taking action against people trying to breaking the rules. This will involve:
● investigating and carrying out checks on suspicious goods imported into the UK
● taking product samples
● seizing illicit goods
● documenting and communicating the outcome of your investigations
What do you we need from you?
You don’t need any existing knowledge or experience of Customs or tax in order to apply, but we are looking for people who are:
● driving licence
● willing to perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items
● confident and adaptable communicators
● team players
● well-organised
● eager to learn
