Senior Tax Manager (Funds) – Proprietary Investment Fund, to c.£100, 000 plus 25% bonus and benefits

A global investment fund with a rich history spanning multiple decades is looking to hire a Senior Tax Manager to support on Funds Tax. The fund investments into VC and Real Estate with over £100bn AUM.

This is a newly created position that has come about due to the increasing complexity of the Group’s Tax function, and to reduce the reliance on external advisors. You will report directly into the Head of Tax with full exposure to all areas of tax, whilst specialising in Funds. The Group is known for promoting from within and this hire will eventually succession plan for the Head of Tax.

There are three main areas to this role:

1. Capital – reviewing investments and divestments, researching and providing information to decision makers. International deal structuring in a tax efficient manner.
2. Corporate Structure – Managing outsourced tax compliance for the fund. Structuring finance in a tax efficient manner.
3. Shareholder consideration – International shareholders including US residents need to be considered on deals.

Ideally you will have:

- Big 4/Top Tier trained, potentially with one move in-house (not required) and an ACA qualification
- Funds tax experience is essential
- Experience of Venture Capital would be beneficial
- Personality and willingness to business partner with a wide variety of characters is essential to success in this role.

This position will be London based with flexibility to WFH with two days required in the office.
