Indirect Tax Senior Manager - Restructuring focused

As UK economy comes through an Covid environment, the demand for Indirect taxes services and advice particularly to the distressed market is on the rise. Layer this with complexity of an Brexit trade agreement many firms needs advice to mitigate costly mistakes, interest and penalties.

This new player on the UK tax landscape is sourcing for a CTA qualified Indirect Manager/Senior Manager to join a close knit but growing tax team, focusing on the UK distressed market (Retail, Leisure, Travel, Real Estate, O&G). This is a brilliant opportunity to support businesses who need re-balancing financially post Covid or support those firm who unfortunately have gone into liquidation.

You will support and guide clients through group restructuring/re-organisations and supply chain changes, carve outs, buy outs and debt work all whilst using your experience to mitigate further losses and setting this businesses to re-balance in an bounced back economy.

The Indirect Tax Manager/Senior Manager will be required to work with the Directors and Partners in handling a wide variety of indirect cases, initially UK focused but eventually covering pan European VAT and Customs and International trade projects. You will support insolvent cases in terms of VAT compliance obligations alongside that firms in-house team, whilst being the point person with the Revenue.

You will join a new team, and therefore will help the Tax Director frame and set up processes and procedures for the team itself, whilst benefiting from a close knit environment and above market salary and bonus earning.
This role is ideal for a person in-house who is finding the work too mundane and standard or a person in another advisory who would like step up a level. This role has will have no expectations on business development like a standard advisory role and should be viewed a solutions orientation tax technical role for a bright & agile person.
