The Canadian Corporate Tax team in the PricewaterhouseCoopers' Mississauga
office is currently seeking an experienced Manager to join their practice.
Job Description
Our Canadian Corporate Tax group offers effective, innovative strategies to
plan and manage taxes to help our clients attain optimum results and control
compliance costs.
As a Tax Manager, you will advise Canadian multinational companies as well as
emerging fast growth companies, both start-ups and middle market, on the
Canadian tax implications of both their domestic and foreign operations to
obtain an optimal tax minimization strategy.
You will have the opportunity to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment, to
be the main client service contact for your clients, to network extensively
with existing and prospective clients, and to participate in proposals and
other business development efforts. You will assume a high degree of
responsibility and exposure within the firm as well as have the opportunity to
concentrate your efforts on corporate tax consulting, tax planning issues and
providing industry knowledge and technical expertise to clients in a variety of
industries such as: Automotive, Consumer Packaged Goods, Industrial Products,
Pharmaceutical, Retail, Technology Information Communication and Entertainment,
and Life Sciences.
Candidate Profile
Strong technical tax background as a result of at least three to five years
experience advising emerging and/or Canadian multinational companies on their
domestic tax strategy;
CA or other accounting/professional designation, as well as completion of, or
current enrollment in the CICA In-Depth Tax course (Part II);
Experience in corporate tax research, consulting and compliance in a
professional services firm, industry, government agency and/or law firm is
essential;
High motivation and interest in taking the initiative for their own personal
growth and development;
Demonstrated ability to identify tax consulting opportunities;
Willingness to aggressively market services to existing and prospective clients;
Client service orientation combined with creative problem solving skills;
strong written and oral communication skills;
Ability to manage, develop, and retain a team of tax professionals.
